A visit to the library is always a very special occasion for us.
We only go every three weeks or so. I never have a strong desire to actually go that day and always have the feeling that we can change our plans and go to the library another day, but since our previous batch of library books are due, I am forced to leave our cozy hobbit habitat and go to the Library.
I know I am silly! 🙂
Once we are there I am so very glad we went! Not only is it fitting for the Autumn season, but we leave with a huge pile of new unread books.
Unread, new books are as much fun for me as they are for Winston 😉
With my sister living next door, we all have a wonderful time sharing and splitting up books. After the week passes by, we switch up the library books again and enjoy the fresh thrill of new reading material.
Winston does enjoy reading to himself, I’ll find him going through his books, picking out the words and saying them in such an adorable way. I really need to capture him on video.
He mentions “Pa”, “Jack” and “deer”, from The Little House on the Prairie, randomly throughout the day.
As soon as he saw the word ‘Piggy’ from ‘No More Pacifier for Piggy’ he fell in love. He carries the book with him all around the house. It is his favorite right now. I think he really likes the word ‘Piggy’. And when I see his little lips form the word, I want to make time stand still. I don’t ever want to forget these moments!
I hope you are enjoying your library visits and books as much as we are!
