Over the last three Sundays, we have gleefully been making the habit of going to the beach right after church. Since we are relatively far from the house, we might as well take advantage of being a little closer while we are in town.
We have not been very good at going to the beach regularly over the last 3 1/2 years living in Florida. I am so glad we have been able to get it in now. I was concerned it would be too taxing to get everything in order and remember every little thing before we left for church. But to my delight, it hasn’t!
Yes, I have forgotten many things lol, at least it wasn’t a swimsuit though 😉
The water was so green and lovely on this particular Sunday.
My honey enjoying the cool water.
He was more interested in staying with momma and getting some Cheetos in rather than a swim 😉
I always try to keep Winston awake for the ride home so he can have a nice nap at home with us.
Showing us that he is 3 years old 🙂
Our view as we make our way home.
This fellow gave us quite a scare. I didn’t think he was going to make it. I am not sure what was ailing him, but he has come out of it and is his old happy self again.
We have lost quite a lot of animals this summer. We lost our precious ducks due to them wandering too far and not returning. Our beloved water dog and hawk chaser, Stafford, ran away because of a loud thunder storm, we haven’t been able to find him. Our momma hen and one of her chicks to a raccoon and Marie and Jon’s cat, ‘Jack’, I found one morning. I don’t know if I could have handled losing our cat Bay as well. He and Winston are pretty close so I am so thankful the Lord kept him here with us. God is so good as He has kept our hearts comforted with his sweet presence, peace and joy in the midst of it all.
I hope you have been enjoying your day of rest as well!
Be blessed this week!
The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him;
though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
