Bathing in the Afternoon

Bathing in the afternoon has been a fun treat for us lately. I am not sure exactly why, but it is really nice to be spending part of our afternoons in the bathroom hehehe. I think it is the soft sun coming through the window.

It has been my goal to get most of the days work done in the mornings before lunch, so we can enjoy a wonderful afternoon with books, baths, baking and making and some tea or (for me) coffee. It hasn’t always worked out that way, but for the most part, many of our afternoons have been like this 🙂

Our beautiful sunny days turn into cloudy stormy afternoons these days. And it is probably my favorite part of Summer. I am especially glad to begin seeing the season change a bit. I can tell that Fall is just around the corner and it makes me very glad.

A scripture I have been meditating on this week….

He has come to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of His splendor.

I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness.

Isaiah 61

~Thank you for stopping by, may you be greatly blessed this week!

Hey There Elizabeth! Long time no write. 🙂

I love seeing all the signs of the nearing Fall, Barry and I were just up in the mountains last weekend and there were some small changes in the leaves and of course the coolness in the air. I am so thrilled to think Fall is coming and the crisp in the air, sure makes it have a cozy feel to it.

What fun, taking baths in the afternoons! We do that on occasion around here especially if the boys get way to dirty for mommy’s comfort 🙂

Winston is just so adorable, all those curls!! He is such a cutie!

When will Marie be making it home? I bet you guys miss her and those boys, huh?

Well, I miss you so much and hope we can visit one day soon too!

Love the scripture by the way…….

    Love You,

Oh what a treat to have these pictures, and to see little tidbits of your day. I think living in the “South” requires bathing or napping in the afternoons; Entire countries agree with this idea… with their Siestas for cool and rest. I love seeing Winston’s precious face and curls. Daddy and I miss him and you so much. Your scripture is beautiful, and one of my favorites.
    Love you so much,
