The Simple Things

The simple things in life I find, are what moves me. There is beauty in the simple. Ironing clothes is simple and yet the very task holds the ability to be beautiful.

Its all in the way I view it.

When life gets busy and full of clutter, or maybe life gets slow full of the mundane, I have noticed how it tends to stifle inspiration and the flow of joy in how I see and view my day.

It has been a challenge, (but worth every effort) to overcome the overwhelming feelings of to-do-lists, duties, chores, cooking, cleaning, washing, feeding ect.

I am not trying to be a Pollyanna type, not that Pollyanna is bad, but rather, recognizing that this day is but a fleeting moment. The saying goes, ‘Life’s too short for a bad cup of coffee’, (I agree) and I may add, ‘life is too short for a bad day!’

Since life is made up of what would seem ‘many a bad day!’ I believe that if I adjust my lens in how I view my bad day, see it as a bad day or see it like my Father in heaven does.

There are no bad days in heaven.

If I am to pray ‘The Lord’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven’. Then obviously my vision needs to shift into heaven’s view.

When my day seems to be going in a bad way. If I am frustrated or low, dis-spirited, I have begun saying heavenly words out-loud into my moment of time and I have noticed an immediate change in my whole being. After feeling low, I begin to feel light, happy, inspired, glad, joyful and thankful. Felicity!

He is full of ‘light’. He is the Father of ‘light’!

Here is my prayer that I pray,

“I come from Him! He is my maker, my creator. I am His child. He saved me through His son Jesus. He has washed me and made me new. He is with me, He loves me, He delights over me. He has plans for me! I am His and He is mine. He is Holy! He is Marvelous! He is the GREAT I AM! And I am HIS!”

The power of those words are life changing.

Isaiah 61

*Jesus read this chapter in Luke 4:16.

He is Isaiah 61!

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
    because the Lord has anointed me
    to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
    to proclaim freedom for the captives
    and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
    and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
    and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
    instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
    for the display of his splendor.

They will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
    that have been devastated for generations.
Strangers will shepherd your flocks;
    foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
And you will be called priests of the Lord,
    you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations,
    and in their riches you will boast.

Instead of your shame
    you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace
    you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,
    and everlasting joy will be yours.

“For I, the Lord, love justice;
    I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
In my faithfulness I will reward my people
    and make an everlasting covenant with them.
Their descendants will be known among the nations
    and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge
    that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”

10 I delight greatly in the Lord;
    my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
    and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
    and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up
    and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness
    and praise spring up before all nations.

He is the Father of the ‘Instead’!

~ I hope you may find beauty in your day-to-day moments too and know how much the Father loves you!

Have a blessed week~
