Homemade Twix!

These were so much fun and so easy to make!

Almost three ingredients! Almost, because I added coconut oil at the last minute to help the chocolate stay runny and smooth when spreading over the caramel 😉

“Can I have more Momma?”

Place yummy grahams on a cookie sheet. I fit as many as I could, you could fit more in by breaking up the graham crackers if you wanted to.

I found a jar of Ice Cream Caramel sauce in the pantry! I just warmed it in the microwave and poured it evenly all over the grahams! You could also just use regular caramels and melt them down.

I used almost 3/4 cup. But you can add as much or as little as you like.

Six ounces of melted chocolate. Semi sweet chocolate chunks is what I used. Chocolate chips will work great as well.

I microwaved the chocolate for ten seconds at a time, stirring every time until it was smooth. I added a teaspoon of coconut oil to help keep it runny when spreading over the caramel.

He can’t wait to lick!

Spread the chocolate out evenly over the caramel and place in the freezer until the Twix has firmed up a bit.

Ready, set, GO!!!

Once Twix has firmed up nicely, they are ready to serve! I sliced into the graham shape as best I could.

If you want more of a traditional Twix look, you can dip the grahams individually into the caramel covering both sides of the cracker and then into the chocolate, then onto parchment paper and into the freezer.

I didn’t want too much work, so I skipped that and they still came out tasting AMAZING! Maybe not as pretty, but still AMAZING!

Nap time!

Almost 3 Ingredient Twix

9 Full Size Graham Crakers

3/4 Cup Melted Caramel (I used Caramel Ice Cream Sauce)

6 Oz (1/2 bag chocolate chips) Semi Sweet Chocolate.

*Optional 1 Teaspoon Coconut oil

Place graham crackers onto cookie sheet. Melt caramel until it is smooth. Cover graham crackers with caramel. Pour chocolate into a microwavable bowl (*Optional, with coconut oil) and warming it in the microwave for ten seconds at a time stirring every time until smooth. Pour chocolate evenly over caramel covered graham crackers. Once everything is smooth and even, place cookie sheet into the freezer. Once chocolate is firm, they are ready to serve! You don’t have to place the Twix into the freezer, you can just serve as is, but it can be a little messy. Cutting into the crackers may be a little too sticky. But fill free to adjust to your preferences! 🙂
